Fox News vindicated on The Insider.

The phrase"first on Fox" rang true again this week. On the popular entertainment info-show The Insider host Lara Spencer confirmed that it was indeed Fox News that first raised questions about the balloon story.We all know now that this was a big hoax put on by those who seek to be the stars of their own show. Fox news is the first I turn to when I look at what is happening. I find their reporting to be not only cutting edge but much more trustworthy than another network that boasts to be "the most trusted name in the news" This is my opinion of course--I am a free American. You hear the name Fox News a lot these days mainly because of the conflict the current white house  administration has with the news network. If this does not bother you--it should. Why does is administration see fit to go after a creadible news network like Fox??Maybe because they are afraid of some of the questions Fox News is asking??What was the name of the news network that shone the light on ACORN??-you guessed it FOXNEWS. The white house "communications" director Anita Dunn said: "we are going to treat them (foxnews) the way we would treat an opponent. " A WHAT?? So now Fox News is the "enemy"?? Is this Nixon in reverse or what!!!!who is next on their "list" CBS? NBC? or even The insider if they get in their way. The bottom line here is it is dangerous for anyone to persecute Fox News or any broadcaster -especially when they are just doing their job.It could be just another sign of the slippery slope this country is taking towards becoming what it ought not to be. I salute The insider and keep shining the light Fox News---only darkness runs when the light switch is turned on.

HOPE! getting active...getting involved!

Just yesterday Rush Limbaugh had a caller on his show seeking hope and what to do. I can help answer that in two words--get involved!! I cannot be sugary and fluffy about what this country is facing--this nation is in big trouble.We have an out of control spending  government and a press singing its praises while we bust our backs ( when I am not blogging I am a truck unloader) It would be easy for me to go into a big gripe-fest right now but the title of my blog is HOPE so here it is: It is not too late to save this country form disaster!!The huge success of the peacefull gaithering on 9/12 proved that many of us care!!Many politicians have forgotten how this country was founded but we have not. This country was founded by WE the PEOPLE trusting in divine providence not US the PARTY trusting in the powers of government.The dear lady that called shared a lot that is on the minds of many of us. She asked what she can do--she already did it. She called! We got to keep calling--our representives, talk shows and register to VOTE!!2010 is just around the corner--there is a lot we can do to help save our great constitutional republic. Our childern and future generations will look back to thank us because we DID!! God bless and God bless America!!

Genius!...Rush Limbaugh on Leno's show.

Jay Leno is a genius...ok OK-just my opinion! (and NO he did not pay my to say that!!) By having Rush Limbaugh on his new T V show he gave America the opportunity to see and hear the "conservative commando" himself. Yes, he does exist--he is not just a voice behind a golden microphone. Leno allowed so many to hear a consrvative voice when so much of TV and the media are leterally drowning in a sargaso sea of liberal mush. Now, more than ever America is seeking very real answers and very real-true hope. We have been promised a lot and recieved very little. Last year we were promised "change we need" and what have we got?? more of GREED!!with the bailouts and an ever expanding government!! Rush was asked honest questions in a positive setting and the show was watched by many Americans!!(and car buffs like me) How many in America really realise that we  have other choices other than the ones vastly paraded by a liberal leaning media ??Rush, Beck and Hannity (and others) are pointing to the rock solid foundation principles (like small government-indavidual enterprise) that have built this nation up since square one. Real answers and real hope that do not belong to any political party. Because they go right to the very foundation of our great nation!! It is not the foundation that has moved--we (as a nation) have moved away from the foundation.It is time we set our ship's course back away from the rocks into safe waters.It is not too late. America need to see all the alternatives --especially  now !By having Rush on his show Jay has proved not only that he is fair but has shown more of America that they do have a choice.

Ronald Reagan shines a light

As congress returns to capitol hill there is no doupt a lot needs to be done.Especially in the area of health care reform. I humbly offer this quote from a great American that shines a light on the current situation and also cuts right thru a lot of darkness: "one of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine"  Ronald Reagan. (hat tip to fellow blogger crossbow for the info) I do not have to go into much detail on the reaction of so many Americans to what is being proposed in Washington. At townhall meetings, phone calls, and e-mails Americans are rising UP because the facts are getting OUT!!!There are many "dirty little secrets" in this 1000 page monster that many lawmakers do not even know about because so many of them did'nt even READ it!and they are full ready supporting it??? Who wants a government official "helping" me to raise my childern??what "values" will the government instill in them??It is almost just like a cold war episode of "the twilight zone" but this is very real and happening now.( an excellent article by action star Chuck Norris uncovers many of these "dirty little secrets" in this thing) There have been proposals already offered that will work that DO NOT create a national government insurance agency to dictate who gets health care....and more frightenly ...who does not. One such alternative -the Patient's Choice Act of 2009, would give EVERY American access to private health care. This plan puts power in OUR hands-not government bureaucrats or insurance executives (HEY-WE the people..a Revolutionary idea) The plan does not grow our national dept  and is paid for by not raising taxes.If you need it-you can get it EVEN if you have pre-existing conditions.One of the co-sponsors is Tom Coburn a DOCTOR. How about that!! Now that congress is back in session the quote from Reagan is just as real as if he said it today!!!For me the voices from Americans at the townhalls said it all--Reform--yes---"Big Brother" NO.

A deceptive commercial...a more deceptive plan.

In a misleading commercial hawking government run health care a little boy is shown leaving a playground. What is implied in this commercial is that this little boy would not recieve vital treatment unless  this government run health care "reform" bill is passed. This is deceptive and WRONG!! Why?? because I know in Childrens hospitals(espcially hospitals in the MiracleChilderns Network) that if there really is an emergency need  care would be provided with or without insurence. Promoters of this government run health care bill would have us to believe that it will lower costs and we will have our "choice"--NOT SO. Costs will explode as the government taxes everything in sight to pay for it. In every country that has accepted government run health care the government micromanages everything-the choice of doctors and  medical desisions. Just imagine a government official telling you (not a doctor) what type of operation to have!! There are countries with government run health care where many are NOT getting the care that is needed. The waiting lists are so long it is criminal and a lot of care is rationalised. Do we want that here??Is it any wonder that so many come here to recieve surgery because of the waiting lists alone??? It is no wonder that the "blue dog"  democrats are joining conservatives and Rebublicans in saying: "NOT SO FAST!!!" We have what it takes for health care in this country. Where it is broke--with God's help WE can fix it-without Big Brother looking over our shoulder or calling the shots. I close with the story of "Linsay" she is now cancer free largely because of the wonderful treatments she recieved from a Childerns hospital. I can garentee you she would not even be turned away because of lack of insurence. Finding cures and saving lives--with God' help WE can....this is our true hope for today--and tomarrow.

NO..."It" is NOT "settled"

The ever volatile issue of abortion was (as expected)brought up this week during the confermation hearings of judge Sotomayor. I expected a pro-abortion answer from this judge, but what I did not expect was the type of answer she gave. Citing our right to privicy and unlawful searches she said the abortion issue was "settled law".....WHAT??This is an issue about taking human LIFE!!! Not homes and property.With all due respect judge Sotomayor this issue is NOT settled. Let's have a supreme court history lesson..shall we? The year was 1857. A slave called Dred Scott sued for his freedom. The supreme court at the time ruled agenst him because he was a slave and slaves were not citizens of the United States,thus had no rights. Was this issue "settled" because of this supreme court decision ??NO it was NOT!!Did it "go away"because a human being was considered property? Well we all know the answer to that question.  Now are we supposed to accept just because a developing baby has not been born yet it is not a human being that has rights?I think NOT.There is little doupt that this judge will indeed be confermed. Sadly, The abortion issue is just one of many issues that Americans are so concerned about. Where are we going as a Nation? where are we being led to?---just like after the Dred Scott decision-we as a nation have a choice to make--the lines are being drawn.

An example of low-level...WHAT?!!!

I remember during the 60s seeing a peaceful protest march by Martin Luther King (this really tells my age..don't it?) King was a genuine civil rights leader who knew how to convey his message peaceably and pointed to our own countrys founding documents as proof of his point. Now imagine with me if you will a government official arresting him and his followers because they were engaging in.. get this: low-level terrorism. Yes, you have read correctly. According to a exam as part of required training for Dept of Defense employees ...protesting is an example of "low-level terrorism"...WHAT?? EXCUSE ME?? Somebody please correct me if I am wrong here but isn't the right to "peaceably gather" one of our rights under the Constitution of the United States of America???(FOXNEWS has this story as well as fellow blogger Crawfish) In the test a multiple choice question is asked : which is an example of low-level terrorism? The choices are: attacking the pentagon,IEDs,hate crimes agenst racial groups and protests--the correct answer according to the exam is...protests. It really causes you to wonder what is happening when ordinary Patriotic Americans who love this country and want the best for it are looked at this way. I do believe a certain "news"reporter even said at a TEA party that those who were there were "anti-government" NO--anti big TAXES!!! GET IT RIGHT!! We have very real "bad guys" out there who hate our freedom under the Constitution and seek our harm. All you need to do is look at the tru anti-American "chatter' that is not far on the web. I know there are foes to our freedom--BUT Americans who love America and want good for our country are not among them! See you at a TEA party and the forth of July is right around the corner..God bless and GOD bless AMERICA..STILL the home of the FREE..because of the BRAVE.

You're still A Grand Old Flag!!

This past sunday was flag day and as I drove home from church I was thrilled at all of the American flags I saw! They were everywhere! on flagpoles, cars, and lawns. I saw one lawn where American flags graced the entire lawn-AND all of the windows of the house!!!The message is unmistakable...American Patriotism is ALIVE and WELL!! The words of George M Cohan's famous song came intantly: "You're the symbol of the land I love the home of the free and the brave"What also is very alive is the groundswell of efforts to return this country to rock solid principles that work. We all have had enough of what has NOT worked and we are sick and tired of politicians tring to convince us to continue to trust in "their"words. The TEA parties are proof positive that this is indeed being comunicated--and the word is ENOUGH!!Weather Washington is listening or not--well I will save that for another post. In the meantime I am looking out my window at the Star Spangled Banner because of freedom we CAN speak out!!Thru talk radio,blogs and more TEA parties we are saying we truly believe in this country,futhermore, the God given principles this nation was founded on. They will STILL work if we just get back to them.  Do we have challenges? Of course we do but there is nothing we are facing right now that we cannot overcome bt taking concrete steps with strong faith in GOD and country!!! I am sure George M Cohan would agree.

We must remember Tianamen square!!

In 1989 many Americans saw the brave,courageous stand for democracy by the students in Tianamen square. Then we saw in horror as the peaceful protests were violently suppressed by the ruling communist government. Who could forget the lone figure standing in the tanks way? What happened there has an effect that continues to this day. Even as I write this post the ruling government in China is suppressing efforts to remember this horrific event--but we must remember!!The sacrifice of those who stood for Liberty and democracy did so because God has made each and everyone to live in liberty!!!Liberty is for everyone who lives on this planet. There is a burning passion for freedom in each and every God made heart that NO government or tanks can squash!!To the Chinese people who may be reading this I say that truly liberty is for YOU also. I honor these brave souls who bravely stood up in Beijing that fateful day-the world remembers them this day.

Senseless tragedy in Wichita

The shooting that took place this past sunday in a Wichita church was senseless,tragic,and wrong. No matter where one stands on the abortion issue what happened there was  inexcusable! In approching the abortion issue( among many) the approach must be-by far is with education and compassion. Abortion is wrong-make no mistake about that. We MUST do all we humanly can-peaceably-to end this scourge-but at the same time we must pray, have compasion and educate!!! The very same God who gives us life does indeed can still change hearts and minds!!! Let us make good of the opportunities we still have ---to give life a chance.

True Marriage upheld!!!California court affirms the truth.

In a 6-1 decision the high court of California upheld the true definition of marriage AS VOTED by the people of California. After the decision protests erupted and many demonstrators vowed to :"fight on". My question to them is: fight what?...the truth? True marriage is a union of a man and a woman. This truth was voted on by the good people of California--hello-WE THE PEOPLE!!!and upheld by the high court. The disgruntled handfew who seek to impose "their" version of marriage on us are acting like tyrants jumping up and down in a temper tantrum. We are created-man and woman- by God to function accordingly. You do not come up to a Rolls Royce car manufactuer in a broken down Ford and say it is a Rolls Royce. I am a Bible believer,however, I can very well argue the truth of the true definition of marriage is a union between a man and a woman from a non-Christian viewpoint. The bottom line is that this conflict is about TRUTH. Marrage and family were created to continue human life on this planet. A  counterfit made up by man does not.True we have many rights in our country BUT that does not give anyone the right  to try to force the rest of us to change what we believe. The true marrage defination from its creator. If the newspapers want to focus on true rights --how about the unborn baby's right to life???I know that this is not the end of what we will hear on this but for now the truth of what makes up a true marriage was upheld.

NY Terror plot foiled!!...US Military, Jewish sites targeted.

We may never know the many heroes-secret heroes-who are working very hard to keep us all safe.Just as many Americans were preparing to observe this Memorial Day we are yet reminded that threats to our liberties are very real. The NYPD working with the FBI has foiled a terror plot that targeted a Jewish center as well as US Military jets. What makes this story so important is that it comes at a time when so many in Washington are poo-pooing very real terror threats.We have duling speeches going on and a house speaker who can't get her facts straight. A case in point is the base at Gitmo. The Obama white house wants it closed, Thankfully, congress with a bypartisan vote of 90-6 has sent a message. It stays. Like pearl harbor not so long ago when 9/11 happened we woke up. For a whyle we were a united country much like we were united after the atttacks on Pearl harbor--what happened??The failed terror plot in NY brings the very real war we have agenst those who hate our freedom again front and center. Yes, we were woke up after 9/11--with this 90-6 vote to keep Gitmo open perhaps many in congress are staying awake.

I have a much better title:Defending our Liberties!

So the "comedian in chief" (hey-I did not come up with that!)has a title for Mr Cheneys book.Well, I have a much better one than the one he has suggested. "defending our liberties" is a much better  title because that is exactly what the Bush administration has been tring to do for the past 8 years!!. Ever since the horrors of 9/11 we have been kept safe largely due to efforts like the Patriot Act and yes, the base in Cuba. Critics of the Bush administration (and there are many) are all too quick to point out secritive efforts like wire tapping and phone records BUT may I point out to these critics that we have very real "bad guys" that have very real plans to do us harm???Did not the events of 9/11 teach us anything??There are so many who are just like the osterich thinking if you just bury your head in the sand -the situation would just go away. Not gonna happen-you give a very tempting target to the person sneaking up on you.We are Free Americans We have many God given freedoms in this country that are only dreams in other countries.  There are terrorists out there who utterly distain our liberties and would like nothing more than to put us under their thumb. Well, this is one American who will write and voice his support for God given our freedoms--the HEROES who are defending those freedoms.The terrorists who hate our freedoms know where they can stick their thumbs. I do not know what title Mr Cheney will use for his book but I know "defending our liberties" will be a strong part of it!

Alert! Alert! "right wing extremist" Grandma on the loose!!

Sound the alarm!Stake out all bingo halls!They are now (according to the Dept of Homeland Security memo) hotbeds of anti-government activity. Oh and whyle you are at it follow practacally every Roman catholic,Mormon ,Baptist and any other who believes that abortion is wrong. I oppose abortion-BIG TIME. Not just on Biblical grounds (I was raised Roman catholic) but I live by a very simple philosophy-I love life!!I also belive in freedom. We have many precious liberties that we got from God and are protected in this country under our constitution. One of those freedoms is to gather-peaceablly to protest and to speak out. The recient T.E.A.(Taxed Enough Already)parties were part of that. The founders of this nation knew good and well how precious our liberties are  and mote importantly-where they came from. What makes this memo from DHS so disturbing that it shows a mindset and worse-where that mindset is going. Who would think that our returning heroes in uniform who have put their lives on the line for our freedoms would be looked at as threats to the very liberties they have sworn to defend? I have a good friend who just came back from Iraq and the only danger he poses is to the food in his refrigerator. It is indeed a great cause for concern when free Americans who are excersising their rights under the constitution of this country are treated in this manner ( the CNN reporter even said that the tea party participants were anti-government-anti-CNN- Sheeeesh!) It was not too long ago that other citizens were targeted in a similiar manner--It was in Germany in the1930s. Something to think about on this Holocaust rememberance day.

Courage or fear...which will we choose?

As tragic and horrible  the recient shooting attacks were there is even greater tragedy that can happen. That would be the loss of our freedom thru fear. The nutcase indaviduals who carried out their terror attacks...did wrong. There can be no doupt whatsoever of that fact. They were terribly wrong.Sadly, there will be many who see these things and want more gun control laws-even restrict or change the 2nd admindment.This must never happen! Hearts and minds need to change--not the constitution. If we allow ourselves to be cowered the "bad guys" will win with their fear.The courage comes when we realise that we are made to live in freedom by a loving God who wills "peace on earth..good will to men". I remember right after the terror attacks of 9/11 many were afraid to fly. There were many who were afraid to visit New York City. Now Americans are taking to the air and there is still a lady in New York harbor that still carries her torch beside the golden door. The Bible teaches that there is a spirit of liberty and a spirit of fear. The spirit of fear does not come from God. I choose the spirit of LIBERTY!! and I will continue to pray for our nation and its people to make the right choices!! God bless America!!
